Swastika's use in Germany?

I live in the south and there are always complaints over the confederate flag. Not to say the swastika and the stars and bars are the same but I do see many similarities. My question is, In Germany are there places where the GOVERNMENT uses the swastika? I would really like to hear from anyone who lives in Germany, about how the swastika is view/talked about.
